Discover a hidden gem in the serene hills of Izumi, Osaka at GREEN ROOM. This charming café promises not just a meal, but an enchanting escape where nature and delicious food intertwine. Whether you're passing through on your journey or seeking a tranquil place to unwind, this café should be at the top of your list.

The cuisine at GREEN ROOM predominantly leans towards American-style comfort food, featuring hefty burgers renowned for their size and juiciness. Take it from Richard H., who urges visitors to take advantage of the outdoor seating to "forest bathe" while enjoying your meal. The culinary experience here is further elevated by a selection of tantalizing side dishes, including crispy fries served with both ketchup and ranch sauce, perfect for satisfying those late-afternoon cravings.

Delve into the mouthwatering variety of tacos, burritos, and pastas, complemented by an array of enticing drinks and delightful desserts like cakes and parfaits. As customer Toshi Suzuki notes, it’s the perfect sanctuary after a long pilgrimage, with friendly staff who speak English—a rarity in this region—making it a welcoming spot for tourists.

At GREEN ROOM, dining is not just about the food; it’s also about the atmosphere. Nestled amidst lush greenery and the serene sounds of nature, guests like Matt Wood describe it as feeling “as if you are sitting in the middle of the forest,” where you can unwind and appreciate the beauty around you. The café’s casual vibe invites everyone from families to cyclists looking for a satisfying meal after a vigorous ride.

While the menu is diverse, some patrons, like Thomas McPherson, have expressed a desire for a vegetarian option to round out the offerings. Nevertheless, the overall quality and ambiance make it a must-visit, with Kenji (Kenken) emphasizing the café’s comfortable and approachable energy. It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking to take a break and savor wholesome food surrounded by nature.

For those wondering about accessibility, the journey to GREEN ROOM may entail navigating narrow roads, which adds to its appeal as a peaceful retreat away from the bustling city. If you're seeking a unique dining experience that harmonizes delectable cuisine with breathtaking surroundings, mark your calendar for a visit to GREEN ROOM—a culinary oasis that embodies the spirit of Osaka's natural beauty.

Fantastic cafe tucked away in the hillside. Inside seating is fine, but in a nice day go for the outdoor seats and forest bathe!

Buddies and I stayed at a villa not to far from the green room. Was told by the staff at the villa that they serve american style burgers. We decided to do the 40 min walk. We got side tracked and got to the place a little before they closed. We ordered 5 burgers between the 3 of us. The burgers were HUGE and jucy. They served fries with a side of ketchup and RANCH sauce. With 20 min till closing time, we demolished them. We told them we will be returning. The morning we checked out from the villa, we returned to the green room to get some burgers to go. Great Burgers, great owner and staff, great vibe. Next time in osaka will be making a trip back. LEGENDARY

TLDR: add a vegetarian option for the extra star. Up Makio san you’ll find this gorgeous little gem of a cafe-cum-restaurant. With a modest but well considered selection of western dishes that ranges from basic pastas, to hamburgers, burritos, and poke bowls, there’s a lot to like about the menu. There’s a reasonable variety in terms of drinks and sweets, too. Tea and coffee, some smoothies, and a few parfaits give you all the reason in the world to extend a romantic date or lazy afternoon meal another hour or two. If the mood strikes and you’re up to no good, a small stash of grog is safety stashed away behind the till - a couple bottles of plonk, and various other liquors. Two beers (Corona and Asahi if you’re asking) are also listed on the menu. The surrounds themselves lend a great deal of ambience to the dining experience. For day dining, the prominence of timber and glass ushers in the natural beauty of forest and mountain with sufficient light. Although I haven’t eaten here in the evening, I have spotted twinkling fairy lights around dusk. Visitors seated in the main dining area look out through beautiful floor to ceiling glass into a terraced outdoor area, whereas those seated outside find themselves well spaced from other patrons on the glorious decking, and ensconced in nature without being bothered by it: think glamping. Also, hammocks and dog friendly. Cool, right? A caveat and a quibble. First, definitely ring and make a booking. I was all hitori (alone that is) and happy to whittle away my time listening to the babbling brook as I waited to be seated. If you’re with others (heyyy, well done), waiting indefinitely for other patrons to leave might really suck, in the bad way. And for the quibble... although the menu is very western, there is NO vegetarian option. So, yeah... I’d probably say not western at all. Japan-western, ya know? Other deets: At the time of writing, fliers spruiking a yoga experience and a meal for around 2500yen could be found inside the restaurant. I’ve ridden past a few times and seen classes in action outside on the terrace which looks fabulous but doesn’t seem to cater to a both genders (read: women only class perhaps?)

Great outdoor style restaurant. Burgers, tacos and burritos are the main things in the menu along with great cakes, parfaits and coffee. The setting is fantastic, hard to get too, very narrow road where 2 cars can't pass in places but that keeps it from being over crowded I guess. You really feel as if you are sitting in the middle of the forest and the sound of the river is extremely calming. You have to order via QR code but the service is quick if a little bit impersonal. The portions are extremely big for a Japanese burger and are high quality too. A great place to sit and relax outside and enjoy the last remnants of summer before autumn snaps into view.

The place is very casual and comfortable. The hotel owner can also speak some simple English. This is a confidence for tourists. The food quality is almost perfect. Finally, I remind everyone that ordering must be done through LINE.

I don't understand the area or nature of the resort. I just heard they had burgers on top of a mountain, so I cycled here. It was great. Bike racks and a beautiful mountainside space to eat a delicious burger and some fries. There were lots of couples and families enjoying the resort, but there were tables open for Saturday lunch. I will return and recommend the burgers.
